Road Conditions
About from the last 100km before Rwanda, the tarmac roads were amazing! The dirt roads were mostly in really bad condition due to heavy rains in the last couple months.
Weather
Even if the rain season should have been over we had rain almost every day. Once again it showed us that weather these days is a bit crazy. Also temperatures were often much lower than expected, specially due to the rain.

Lost: our kitchen towel never made it back from the laundry

Other: Martin’s sole of his SIDI motorbike boot got loose and needed fixing and one of his jerry cans got sliced open by another motorbike when the guy rode into him.
Paperwork

Visa: As Swiss passport holders we get 90 days for 50 USD per person

Carnet de Passage: As we travel with the CdP we used it but you can also get a temporary import permit (TIP) at the border.

Insurance: COMESA insurance which we already got for all the countries in Zambia (cost us 80 USD per bike for one year and 9 countries)
Notable
The traffic in Tanzania starts to get a bit more interesting in some places. Be aware of the crazy mini bus drivers, trucks and big busses!
Important information
Here some very country specific information:

You can get money easy at ATMs but its good to bring in some USD to get a start in case the first ATM does not work and also to pay the fees at the border.

Its easy to get a SIM card and data

Motorbikes are not allowed in the national parks but there are some wilderness management areas where you can go
