Road Conditions
The Chinese invested some money into the Lesotho road network and where there is tar it is mostly very good. Otherwise you are in for a dirt road treat and if you want, you can chase the track of the famous “Roof Of Africa” Enduro Rally ;)
Weather
We had very sunny days with day temperatues between 15 and 29 degrees. The nights are cold, even in summer as the whole country is high above sea level.

Notable
The Basotho (people of Lesotho), are very friendly and a bit shy people. There is a big difference between the people that live in the high altitude and the lower country side (which is still above 1200 m.a.s.l) as the people up in the mountains still live a very traditional life. The Kingdom of Lesotho is the only independent state in the world that lies entirely above 1,000 metres (3,281 ft) in elevation.

There is not always fuel at the petrol stations, so make sure you fill up wherever you can

Vodacome is a good phone company to get a prepaid SIM card for data and calls

No need to change money when coming in from South Africa, the South Afrian Rand is everywhere accepted and has the same value as the Loti
