Mostly hot and sunny, we had a little rain in the north and some hail and once a sand storm in the desert
Here some apps and webpages we think are usefull for travelling overland to this country
XTR: The hydraulic preload lost oil (loose screw)
XTZ: One rear mirror broke during a fall
we could fix both problems in Tehran at Rezas mechanic shop
XTR: oil change, clean foam air filter and regrease, fix of rear suspension leak, tightening of rear mirror as it was loose

Most of the tarmac roads are in a good condition. If you like gravel/sand/mud you will find enough trails!
Visa: Everyone needs a visa in advance before entering the country. We organized ours already from home.
Carnet de Passage: You need to have the Carnet de Passage to get into the country by motorbike or car
Insurance: We did not get one but we heard that it might actually be obligatory
Iranis might have invented the “selfie”, they really take a lot. People are super nice but as soon as they are in a car the turn into life threatening maniacs, so be careful.

As most people only speak Farsi, this book helped us a lot! We even got camel shit for a camp fire with that 🙂
We were very happy that we had our cooling vests with us, even in April it gets really hot
